ArcTec
Impact of Timanian thrusts on Arctic Tectonics
Mission of the project
ArcTec aims at mapping and correlating major Timanian thrust systems throughout Svalbard and the Barents Sea and at showing their impact on subsequent tectonic events (e.g., rifting of Iapetus, Caledonian Orogeny, Devonian–Carboniferous late–post-orogenic collapse, Eurekan tectonic event, opening of the Fram Straight).
